Self Over Country

Painful Reflection of National Betrayals in Nigeria Basketball

-By: Tunde Olagoke (Oyo State)

In the world of sports, victories are never just about scores. They are about identity, unity, and the collective heartbeat of a nation. Few moments embody this truth more than the Nigeria women’s basketball team — the indomitable D’Tigress — lifting the Women’s AfroBasket trophy again in Ivory Coast. It should have been a moment of complete national pride, a celebration of resilience, beauty and hard-earned dominance.

Yet, for many of us watching closely, the triumph carried a painful shadow.

What happens when the greatest threat to a nation’s success doesn’t come from its rivals, however, from within its own national borders? What do we do when personal ambition, selfish ego, and internal bitterness threaten to overshadow the National flag we claim loyalty to…?

This story is not just about sport — it is about the country versus Colonel Sam Ahmedu (rtd), and the heavy heartbreak that comes when those entrusted with national stewardship forget which comes first; Self or Nigeria?

At the 2025 Women’s AfroBasket in Ivory Coast, the Nigerian delegation sensed more than competition — they sensed internal sabotage, politics, and forces rooting quietly for their downfall.

In sporting circles, whispers grew louder: alliances, shifting loyalties, and moves that appeared designed to weaken the D’Tigress rather than strengthen them.

Senegal’s technical bench was suddenly filled with familiar Nigerian faces — coaches, assistants, and support staff who once wore the green-and-white, and who served for a long time.

The optics alone painted a complicated picture of divided loyalties and silent agendas. To many supporters, it felt like a coordinated attempt to hand Nigeria’s greatest rival every tactical advantage possible. On the bench was also Peter Ahmedu, younger brother to current Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) member Col. Sam Ahmedu (rtd) and also the head-coach Otis Hughley a former D’Tigress head coach all who were hand picked for our national team by Col. Sam Ahmedu (rtd).

Then, the whole brigade of troops appears on the Senegalese bench in an attempt to defeat and ridicule Nigeria.

When Nigeria met Senegal in the semifinals, the tension was unmistakable. It was more than a basketball game — it was a battle for dignity, for national pride, for the soul of Nigerian basketball and much more…

Under Coach Rena Wakama, D’Tigress fought with the heart of Tigress, clarity of purpose, and an unbreakable sense of national purpose. They defeated Senegal decisively, moving on to win their fifth (5th) consecutive AfroBasket title — a feat unmatched on the African continent.

As the Nigeria national anthem played and medals were hung around the necks of our champions, the world saw a united team. However, those close to the basketball court saw something else: a moment of discomfort, reluctance, and visible frustration from figures who should have been celebrating Nigeria’s victory without hesitation.

Even the Federation International Basketball Association (FIBA) Africa director had to physically pull and encourage Sam Ahmedu to join the Nigeria Gold-Medal podium — a symbolic gesture that spoke louder than any speech. Nigeria had won, but not everyone wearing the Nigeria badge seemed happy about that victory.

A Deeper Problem: When Ego Overshadows the Nigerian Flag.

Every nation faces internal politics, however, there is a line no patriot should ever cross: the point where one’s personal ambition becomes more important than national success.

When leaders put self over country…

When personal loss of influence becomes a reason to quietly root against your own national team…

When victory for Nigeria feels like defeat for your ego…

Then, we have lost something far more important than a basketball match.

We lose the meaning of service.

We lose unity.

We lose the soul of our sports.

The painful truth is this: Nigeria cannot progress if and when those in positions of influence prefer chaos to progress — simply because they are no longer the ones in control.

D’Tigress Won Because They Refused to Bend

While the politics raged behind the scenes, the players stayed committed. They played for the flag. For the people. For the millions of girls watching them. For the future of Nigerian basketball.

And that is why they won.

Their victory was not just athletic. It was moral. It was symbolic. It was the triumph of country over ego, of unity over division, of purpose over selfish ambition.

This story is not told to shame, attack, or defame any individual. It is told to ask a simple but urgent question:

When did we start valuing personal power over national success?

Nigeria cannot continue this way.

Our athletes cannot keep winning in spite of us.

Our administrators must remember the sacred oath of service.

Our leaders must choose unity over personal politics — especially on the world stage.

Because when the Nigerian flag rises…

When the anthem plays…

When the world watches…

It is not about any individual.

It is about Nigeria.

And Nigeria must always come first.

2023 Narratives On Tinubu’s Disappearance:

Which political party sets more of the new winning narratives? Which political party reacts to political narratives set by another political party? Which political party is more proactive or more reactive to political narratives?

APC are somehow smartly keeping TINUBU on the minds and thoughts and eyes of Nigerians towards 2023 General Elections with their fake pictures and false narratives on Tinubu in an unknown land, though claimed to be United Kingdom. How could a patriotic Presidential Candidate of a nation like Nigeria seeb busy having meetings in a foreign nation for weeks, showing off his suites in a foreign country and showing off his home in a foreign land…?

The ongoing questionable disappearance of TINUBU on alledged serious health related issues, gave the opposition so much ammunition and media content to attempt to bury the 2023 Presidential Ambition of Tinubu and APC.

The majority of Nigerians are falling for the strategic pushing of images of Tinubu with children and on stationary bikeseing tagged a cyclist extraordinaire, which keeps hope alive for APC, despite the questionable disappearance of Tinubu on suspected serious health challenges and mental health issues etc…

That majority understands that those pictures are fake and APC has been caught in the act a few times with old pictures and fake outdated images. However, the joker is that if and when Tinubu eventually returns home, all the fakery, falsehood and make believes would matter very little because APC may quickly change the narratives that Tinubu is healthy, home and alive and that’s all that matters. And the opposition might just follow such narrative once again…

The APC might get him to even kick a football on live television, throw some jabs while wearing boxing gloves or do another live seven (7) seconds video clip performing another pre-planned media stunt, which they will use to boost in the physical fitness and medical fitness of Tinubu. Such could lead to the possibility of a majority of Nigerians being gobsmacked and dumbfounded and further fall for such strategic media gimmicks that Tinubu ain’t a DOA candidate.

Smart political teams should have tapped into loads of content and context against APC, which could be used in putting immense pressure to force APC on the back-foot and into making more fatal errors. Unfortunately, so far there is little or zero class, style, creativity and concept against the mountains of APC economic woes, governance errors, human rights abuses, corruption issues, insecurity saga and the current questionable disappearance of Tinubu to la-la-land…

Due to all these, APC seem to be dictating the tune and pushing images and choosing the narratives proactively, while the opposition continues to be reactive and throwing APC a live-line when they could do otherwise…

The believability of political propaganda is supreme towards 2023 and APC should be on the defensive  but despite their shortcomings, they seem to be on the offensive controlling some elements of the 2023 political narratives.

Time Will Tell!

Nnamdi Kanu: Full Detail Of Today’s Court Proceeding

By IKOLO NEWS – September 13, 20220

Today, the Supreme Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was in Appeal Court for the hearing of his appeal for the charges proffered against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria to be dismissed.

At the hearing, Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal reserved its judgement on the appeal filed by Nnamdi Kanu, to quash the terrorism and treasonable felony charge the Federal Government preferred against him.

Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently facing trial before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, had through his team of lawyers led by Chief Mike Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), approached the appellate court to interrogate the legal competence of the charge pending against him.

Justice Binta Nyako of Federal High Court Abuja had struck out eight of the 15 count charges the Federal Government filed against the IPOB leader.

But Kanu’s lawyers appealed against the ruling of the trial court on April 8 and sought the appellate court to review the ruling and struck out the remaining seven-court pending in the lower court.

The lead Counsel of the IPOB leader, had insisted that the charge FG entered against his client had no basis in law, in the appeal dated April 29 and marked CA/ABJ/CR/625/2022, applied to be discharged and acquitted.

Nnamdi Kanu equally urged the appellate court to order his release on bail, pending the determination of his appeal.

Though the appeal was initially fixed for October 11, following an application the embattled IPOB leader filed for abridgement of time, the appellate court brought the matter forward for hearing.

When the matter was called up on Tuesday, a three-man panel led by Justice Jummai Hanatu, said it had no need to delve into the issue of bail since the substantive appeal was ripe for hearing, according to IKOLO NEWS.

Arguing the appeal, Chief Ozekhome, SAN, alleged that his client was forcefully abducted from Kenya and illegally RENDITIONED to NIGERIA.

He told the court that his client was first arraigned on December 23, 2015 and was later granted bail on April 25, 2017.

“My lord, he was enjoying this bail without breaching the terms. However, he was in his ancestral home when agents of the Respondent invaded his home in September 2017. He barely escaped alive by sheer providence and found himself first in Israel and later in London, bearing in mind the Federal Government of Nigeria ceased his Passport at a point in time.

“When the Appellant travelled from London to Kenya, agents of the Respondents, on June 27, 2021, forcefully abducted the Appellant, tortured and renditioned him back to the country without following any extradition process”, Ozekhome submitted.

He argued that under the Doctrine of Speciality as provided for in section 15 of the Extradition Act, FG ought to have proceeded to try Kanu on the five-count charge he was initially facing before he escaped from the country.

He argued that Kenya, being the country from where Nnamdi Kanu was arrested and extraordinarily renditioned back to Nigeria, ought to have authorised his extradition.

This allegation of his forceful abduction and rendition was never denied by the Respondent.

“More so my lords, the charge appears to give the lower court a global jurisdiction over offences that were allegedly committed by the Appellant, without specifying the location or date the said offences were committed.

“There was no need for the lower court to have retained the remaining seven-count charge.

“We are therefore urging my lords to strike out the remaining counts and hold that the Respondent has not established any prima-facie case against the Appellant for which he could be tried”, Ozekhome added.

Meanwhile, the government’s lawyer, Mr. David Kaswe, urged the court to dismiss the appeal for want of merit.

He maintained that Nnamdi Kanu was brought back to the country by due process of the law.

According to him, the charge has been amended seven times owing to the conduct of the Appellant.

“My lords, it took four years and huge resources to get the Respondent arrested and brought back to face the charges against him.

“The Prosecution is ever willing and eager to proceed with trial of the Appellant.

“We are saying that the trial court was even wrong to have struck out the eight counts as it did.

“It is only after FG has produced all its witnesses and tendered its evidence that the Appellant could claim that no prima-facie case was established.

“Finally, we urge this court to dismiss the appeal for lacking in merit”, Kaswe added.

After it had listened to both sides, the panel said it would communicate a date for the judgement.

Meanwhile, the court has struck out one of the counts in the charge leaving six for determination.

Prince Emeka Egwuekwe called the violent attack; evil and against the acceptable norms, cultures and traditions of UMUNRI, Ndi Anambra and Ndi Igbo.

In that attack, a serving Senator of the 9th National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s convoy was fatally attacked in Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, leading to the death of his aides and security details, whose blood were spilled on the ancient, ancestral and sacred land of UMUNRI KINGDOM.

APAKATA ONYII, mentioned that Enugwu-Ukwu is in UmuNri Kingdom and there are does and don’ts in UmuNri regarding dispute resolution and one of such is that no matter how high, how low or how dire a situation is or was or might become; the spilling of human blood by one upon another in UMUNRI ANCESTRAL KINGDOM is unacceptable and punishable except atonements are made within four (4) market days of EKE, ORIE, AFOR, NKWO to EZUMEZU UMUNRI.

There are cultural, social, ancestral and traditional processes and norms which all indigenes, residents and visitors to all corners of UMUNRI KINGDOM must follow in resolving the most difficult disputes for peace, purity and posterity. Killing and spilling of human blood is not one of those processes and or norms in UMUNRI KINGDOM.

Message To Ndi Njikoka LGA:

The change, the choices and the characters in front of us for Anambra State House of Assembly:

Ndi Njikoka needs to urgently rebuild trust, equity, justice and equality to avoid distrust, iniquity, injustice and inequality in Njikoka political architecture.

Our dear women deserve better, bigger and bolder positive representation.

Our men can fulfil their life goals with smarter representation.

Our youths deserve more professional and inclusive entrepreneurial support for stronger development.

It is a good time for us to transform distrust with trust, injustice with justice, inequality with equality in party politics because injustice to one, is injustice to all.

“Political Injustice is a CRIME against Humanity”.

Just as we need aspirants who understand how to root out crimes,  social misdemeanours, like drug abuses, substance abuses, bullying and land banditry that may exist, we also need to expunge inequality, injustice and iniquity in party politics.

To do the above, the choice of aspirants needs to evidence a positive political change, which is inclusive, justifiable, transformational and starts from the very top down to the bottom.

We ought to choose aspirants in UmuNri and UmuOwelle with consistent track record of local and national sound exposure to good-governance, aspirants that have traceable academic records, aspirants with real leadership skill set and aspirants with real governance achievements.

On one hand, we need to develop an Njikoka where party politics is played with justice and equality will transform into a greater business hub, safe society, where lives and properties are optimally secured and where we can all call our “New Njikoka”. On the other hand, we need an Njikoka where injustice and inequality of the Old-Creed will transform away from the Same-Old-Same and become more inclusive, brotherly, positive and unifying.

Ndi Njikoka needs political aspirants that can stand on their two feet day and night to uphold social justice, champion good governance with skills for safety and Security of lives and property of men and women.

We need aspirants that can speak eloquently, read with understanding and write without hiring third-parties…

Njikoka requires political aspirants that will not be remote controlled for the wimps and caprices of unfavourable benefits of Ndi Njikoka.

There is a choice ahead of Ndi Njikoka.

We need not break the back of our beloved Njikoka.

We need to listen to calls for positive smart inclusiveness.

However, if and where there are old-glass-ceilings that seem to hold some parts of Njikoka captive, then, down with those ancient-glass-ceilings.

Political history has consistently proven that the politically excluded of the past, developed capacities and capabilities to transform to political champions of the future. Remember; Gandhi of India and Mandela of South Africa.

Remember how Ndi Anambra insisted on electing a governor from Anambra South.

Remember how Ndi Igbo and millions of Nigerians are standing firm for a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction come 2023.

The absence of equality and justice in our party politics is not the uncommon presence of political pieces, but rather, the catalyst that transforms old-political-numbers to new-political-relationships for the dignity and liberation of men and women forming new victorious political alliances…VIN Onyekwelu MScVIN Onyekwelu MScWin It.

We Are In It, To Win It
Best Wishes,

THREATS AND INTIMIDATIONS ARE OBSOLETE: Final Warning To Enugwu-Agidi Land Grabbers Fraternity. By: Ifeanyi Ndulue (Ibu Jesus)

I was plunged into deep reflections after I read Bro. Gbile Akonni’s book; “Glory Not Yet”. Akonni in that life-changing piece reaffirmed St. Paul’s teaching in 1Corinthians 10:12, and I quote “Let he who think he standeth take heed lest he fall”.

A day before yesterday I gave a random list of some names of Land Grabbers in Enugwu-Agidi and their collaborators across the villages. I did mention as an addendum that Nwammadu and Ebuka Anuta are leading the Iruobieli village. While Godwin Okafor and Chiedozie Igweonu are a part of the team ravaging Etiti village.

Yesterday, I received over fifty (50) phone calls from some concerned persons who expressed serious concerns over my safety. Their source of concern was no doubt premised on the facts of perjury or libel against the people I mentioned their names. No! It was because of fear that the land grabbers have become so powerful that they can even humiliate, beat, batter and kill Late Anayo Nworah. Some suspects to the heinious crime still got bail and keep BOASTING THAT NOTHING WILL HAPPEN and that The Dead is Dead…

This is the point where the teaching of Bro. Gbile Akonni’s book struck my mind and I asked in renunciation: Do these criminals ever think of failing? Would they ever take heed?

A friend told me that Nwammadu has taken my name to a shrine and that rituals would be performed for me by Monday 20th December 2021, the same way a young man whom I wrote after he threatened to kill Onowu Enugwu-Agidi, stated he was taking me name to a shrine for rituals to be performed.

Let me reaffirm that Nwammadu has become notorious for land grabbing. He collaborated with my cousins to delve into our Okpuno land. Nwammadu collaborated with Edozie Igweonu, to grab Nwanekii Family Land behind Community Girls Secondary School Enugwu-Agidi. He should tell the idols that State thus; if those idols did not kill him, I will personally set those idols ablaze.

Godwin Okafor, also called me to find out why I should put his name in the list. I told him I am not remorseful for my action because it reflects my real thoughts and perception of him. Recall that Pastor Godwin Okafor, was the person who was kidnapped sometimes at Offia Ikweke where he went to show a buyer some piece of Land. The same Offia Ikweke that we asked the so-called Ezinato Leadership not to sell. So, who are they if not notorious Land Grabbers?

I was equally informed that Izuchukwu Okekeonyeocha was enraged because I mentioned his name. My question is; who are these guys that have assumed so much power that nobody will discuss their communal ills and their menace to society?

WARNING ALARM BELLS ⚠️

The year 2022 will define a new dimension of life in Enugwu-Agidi. Those who sold people’s lands illegally will have so much to regret, no matter how highly placed or highly connected they are. The law will take its course and the criminals must be brought to justice.

The last thing anybody can do is to take my life…. Though as earlier stated, if my life is the only thing needed to set Enugwu-Agidi free from these crimes, criminals and criminality then, I am up for it by the Grace of God Almighty. I will not hold back anything any more. The land grabbers, their sympathisers, their foot soldiers and their sponsors should stop, and I repeat should STOP these land grabbing illegality and these threats here and there.

Izuchukwu Okekeonyeocha, as so-called Chairman of Ezinato, should stop selling Ezinato lands and render accounts of his stewardship.

Ebuka Onuorah, should equally go and render accounts of his stewardship to Iruokpalenyim and Umuotuzo kindred, that way I will stop seeing them like the other land grabbers and violent criminals who are members of Enugwu-Agidi Land Grabbing Fraternity that took SECRECY OATHS AT FOREIGN DEITY etc…

Enough of these threats, abuses, assaults, and violence in Enugwu-Agidi. Threats and Intimidations are OBSOLETE and must fail around people like us in Jesus Christ name. Amen

Late Anayo Nworah: Today Marks one (1) Month, Since He Was Beaten and Battered to Death in Enugwu-Agidi.

Enugwu-Agidi Mourns Outcomes Of Sponsored Violence?

On Thursday 11th November 2921, the Enugwu-Agidi Community was shocked at the fabrics of its foundation over the death of Late Anayo Nworah.

The father of four children whose eldest child was four (4) years old died on the soil of Enugwu-Agidi, his hometown, which was supposed to save and protect him, but rather, killed him.

Late Anayo Nworah, was beaten, battered to death by identified persons and his blood spilled on the soil of his father’s hometown because he was accused of use of Methamphetamine hard drugs.

The flautist extraordinary was disgraced, abused, dehumanised and violently attacked by about six (6) men who were fellow sons of Enugwu-Agidi in the presence of his dear mother who begged and pleaded for her sons life. By the time her son was handed over to her, she tried to take him home but he died once he got home due to the injuries sustained from the Grievous Bodily Harms GBH sustained from the beating and battering sustained in the hands of those that have been identified and named by his mother.

It beggars beliefs on the sad news of how he was accused, judged by those that lacks the legality and prosecuted in a Court of Probity that was Championed by suspected Land-Bandits, which led to him been found guilty, convicted, flogged, beaten, battered, slashed with machetes, his private parts kicked with feet, hit with blows of fists and spoken to as a slave and finally his young life failed him.

Enugwu-Agidi needs to remember, Anambra ought to remember and Nigeria must remember how a son Enugwu-Agidi in Njikoka Local Government of Anambra State died in Enugwu-Agidi on Thursday 11th November 2021, while begging for his life to be spared, which fell into deaf ears of his assailants.

Late Anayo Nworah was said to have ran into a Christian Church, but his assailants chased him into the place of worship, desecrated the House of God Almighty, dragged him out of God’s own House and continued with the molestation, beating and battering that lead to his death.

Research has shown that most of the suspects are still on the run, while some of their sponsors are free and still breathing fires 🔥 of threats, showing zero remorse and continuing to use threatening language. The suspects and their sympathisers continue to have a smirk on the sides of their faces and showing no rumours, rather deploying brimstone signals on whoever asks, discusses and or speaks on the matter.

Further research, has exhibited plans by direct and indirect supporters and sympathisers of the suspects and assailants on the run are holding steady physical and virtual meetings and spending huge sums of money to force Ndi Enugwu-Agidi to forget this unresolved manslaughter and or murder of Enugwu-Agidi son on Enugwu-Agidi soil.

As we mark and remember Late Anayo Nworah in our prayers and pray for his soul to rest in the peace of God Almighty. We also pray for the Grace of God Almighty upon his family, his children, his mother, his wife and his grandmother etc. Amen.

Lest we forget, the latest death on Thursday 9th December 2021 of another son of Enugwu-Agidi in Enugwu-Agidi soil. The deceased was rightly or wrongly accused to have committed suicide through hanging caused by effects of Methamphetamine hard drugs as was alleged by Non medical professionals nor practitioners as the cause of death. May his soul also rest in the peace of God Almighty. Amen.

Ambition, Influence and the Boundaries of Process in Nigeria Basketball

BY: Vince Onyekwelu MSc.

Nigeria basketball is entering a period that demands more than ambition – it demands raw restraint and real respect for institutions and fidelity to process.

With critical international competitions approaching, including the Women’s World Cup, the sport’s governance environment must prioritize continuity and constitutional order. It is in this context that recent political activity within the Nigeria basketball ecosystem deserves closer examination – not for its aspirations, rather, for its methods.

Olumide Oyedeji and the Politics of Quiet Positioning:

In recent months, Olumide Oyedeji has emerged as the most frequently referenced name in conversations about potential leadership change within the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF). His growing visibility within informal political spaces has not been accidental.

Yet, what remains conspicuously absent is a public declaration of intent, a clear policy direction, or direct engagement with the NBBF electorate. Instead, Oyedeji’s ambitions appear to be advancing through carefully managed channels, informal alignments, and strategic silence.

In governance, silence is rarely neutral.

For many stakeholders, the concern is no longer whether Oyedeji harbors ambition, but why that ambition has chosen orchestration over openness.

Sam Ahmedu and the Question of Strategic Timing:

Closely intertwined with Oyedeji’s rise is the visible presence of Sam Ahmedu, a seasoned basketball administrator and serving FIBA official whose tenure as FIBA Zone 3 President is approaching its conclusion.

The convergence of these timelines has not gone unnoticed.

As regional mandates near their end, influence often seeks new pathways. What troubles observers is not Sam Ahmedu’s experience, but the perception that international stature is being leveraged to shape domestic outcomes – quietly, indirectly, and ahead of constitutional cycles.

This raises a serious governance question; where does mentorship end and political engineering begin?

Those entrusted with upholding international sport governance standards carry an even greater responsibility to avoid actions that could be interpreted as compromising, compressing and or redirecting national sport processes.

Social Media Platforms and Conflict of Interests For Narrative Management and Illusion of Consensus:

The role of digital community platforms in this age cannot be ignored. Nigeria Basketball social media forums initially framed as neutral spaces for discussions have, according to multiple participants, evolved into conflicts of interests mechanisms for selective-narrative alignment, while those with alternative-narratives were ejected.

When social media discourse narrows, dissent fades and consensus appears pre-assembled; the effect is not unity, rather it is distortion, denigration and dissatisfaction.

In democratic sporting systems; leadership legitimacy is built through contestation, not curation.

The National Sports Commission Episode – A Line Crossed:

These dynamics crystallized during a recent engagement involving the National Sports Commission, convened with unusually short notice and touching on sensitive governance matters.

Within the Nigeria basketball community, the episode was widely interpreted as an attempt to manufacture urgency and momentum outside the federation’s constitutional framework. The perception—fair or not—was of a process designed to create pressure, rather than, consensus.

The attempt failed.

Not because of personalities, rather, because the NBBF Constitution remains inviolable. The NBBF Constitution cannot be suspended by convenience, bypassed for venue, or weakened via timing.

That moment served as a reminder that constitutional order is not negotiable, even if and when ambition is intense.

Why Avoid the Straight Path?

At this stage, the central issue is no longer speculative. The NBBF provides a clear and lawful pathway for leadership change. Elections exist. Timelines exist. An electorate exists. FIBA oversight exists.

So, the questions sharpens:

Why has Olumide Oyedeji not chosen that path?
Why the preference for indirect pressure over direct persuasion?
Why the reliance on proximity and influence, rather than mandate?

In politics, the route chosen often reveals more than the destination sought.

Timing Is Not a Detail:

With elite athletes preparing for global competition, this is not a neutral moment. Governance instability—real or perceived—has consequences. Distraction at the top reverberates downward.

Leadership ambition, which disregards timing, risks undermining the very programs it claims to advance.

Process Is the Test of Leadership:

Ambition is common.
Respect for process is uncommon.

If and when Olumide Oyedeji seeks to lead Nigeria basketball, the standard is clear; declare openly, campaign transparently, submit to the electorate and respect the constitution.

When and if Sam Ahmedu wishes to leave a legacy; it will be measured not by proximity to power, rather by commitment to institutional integrity.

In Nigeria basketball, the process is not a formality—it is the test.

Those who pass it, earn legitimacy.
Those who attempt to bypass it, invite scrutiny.
Those who fail to pass the test, fail the authenticity test.

Once scrutiny for authenticity is brought to play, it rarely remains quiet nor hidden…

Is Hon. Aguiyi, Worthy To Appear On Any Enugwu-Agidi Electoral Campaign(s), Based On His Dark-Antecedents, Crisis-Creation and Poor-Services Delivered To Ndi Enugwu-Agidi As Immediate Past Transitional Chairman of Njikoka L.G.A etc…?

What were Hon. Aguiyi records of positive and visible good service delivery to Ndi Enugwu-Agidi as the immediate past Njikoka L.G.A Caretaker Committee Chairman? Absolutely NOTHING!

He has nothing to show for it, except the viral AUDIO VOICE RECORD were he was planning to execute wicked actions against IGWE ENUGWU-AGIDI H.R.H IGWE OKEKEUCHE OKPALARIAM III ENUGWU-AGIDI and ONOWU ENUGWU-AGIDI OZO SIR OSITA ANAMEZE, which Enugwu-Agidi still suffers from till date.

What are his antecedents as Etiti Village National Chairman?

Ordinarily, any sane believer of good governance would happily give account of his public service, but he utterly refused, dodged and avoided to give such account when requested to-do-so by the next duty elected leadership of Etiti Village of Enugwu-Agidi.

He has nothing to show, except his consistency in dining with evil, while pretending to be fighting the same evil, thereby demoralising and or obstructing positive-collective actions of Ndi Etiti Village.

Where would Hon. Aguiyi find such a number of votes in Enugwu-Agidi to give to his principal in Enugwu-Agidi no matter how little our votes are?

This is a supposed-leader who hates Enugwu-Agidi with passion, who sees nothing good in Enugwu-Agidi but yet, hopes to benefit from Enugwu-Agidi at every opportunity.

A character who physically and openly showed his disgust towards Ndi Enugwu-Agidi by abandoning the near-completed Enugwu-Agidi General Goods & Timber International Market for over two (2) and did not develop absolutely nothing in Enugwu-Agidi throughout his over two (2) years tenure in office.

A person, who openly and was recorded creating a traditional-chaos in Enugwu-Agidi Throne of Okpalariam lll IGWE ENUGWU-AGIDI and electorally manipulated administrative- crisis in Enugwu-Agidi Town Union leadership.

Same individual, who forced down our throats an EBU leadership that has been more about personal enrichment for the very few, political posturing for the minority, moral decadence among a small cabal, rather than, the collective progress of the majority of the masses for Enugwu-Agidi’s common good…

Is it based on Hon. Aguiyi’s respect for Enugwu-Agidi cultures, traditions and or his horrible and pathetic service-delivery record to Enugwu-Agidi in Njikoka LGA as the immediate past Njikoka LGA Transitional Chairman?

In my personal opinion, Hon. Aguiyi’s poor-performance in service-delivery to Ndi Enugwu-Agidi of Njikoka L.G.A is physically disgraceful, ethically unacceptable and morally questionable to appear on an election campaign publication that has anything to do with Enugwu-Agidi in Njikoka L.G.A.

Charity Begins At Home, even as political electioneering restarts!

I AM….

IKOLO ENUGWU-AGIDI.

IKOLO ka IKOLO.

IKOLO AGIDI.

SOONER OR LATER – A STITCH IN TIME (SAVES NINE)…

@IKOLO JUNE 2023.

I make the following statements on a personal note as #IKOLO, Onye Enugwu-Agidi…

On one hand, I totally understand that you are driving a narrative to emotionally poison the minds of undecerning Ndi Enugwu-Agidi and pretend that all is well, though on the other I totally do not understand your narratives, which with all sense of humility I see as intentionally deceiving, misleading, bereft of truth, conservative with the practical realities on ground and dancing to the tunes of the monsters been bred in Enugwu-Agidi…

Question 1:

Why so, some may ask?

A. IKPU ALU – DEATH OF ANAYO:

OKPALARIAM III ENUGWU-AGIDI, made it clear that the abomination on the above would NOT be transferred unto him and Ndi Enugwu-Agidi, until those involved follow the customs and traditions of Enugwu-Agidi, therefore H.R.H IGWE ENUGWU-AGIDI, as the Custodian of Enugwu-Agidi culture and traditions will not have mutual understanding with committers of such sacrilege, abomination and Nso-Ana until the needful is done culturally and traditionally in full participation of the victims family and Enugwu-Agidi cultures and traditions.

Question 2:

Is the above rocket-science to see, understand, grasp and action by those involved (NOT THE IKPU ALU DONE BY THEMSELVES, BECAUSE YOU CANNOT COMMIT NSO-ANA (abomination) AND CLEANSE NSO-ANA ONLY BY YOURSELF WITHOUT THE FULL INVOLVEMENT OF THE VICTIMS FAMILY AND NDI ISI ANA) or do you intentionally refuse to see the wisdom from the CUSTODIAN of Enugwu-Agidi Culture and Traditions?

Question 3:

Do you understand the spiritual infection for OKPALARIAM III ENUGWU-AGIDI to dine, eat or have serious mutual relationships with people that were involved in the beating, maiming, killing and spilling of the BLOOD OF ONYE ENUGWU-AGIDI (ANAYO) ON THE SOIL OF ENUGWU-AGIDI?

B. THE ALARMING PRETENSE:

Though some of us are Christians, while some are Animists, Traditionalists, while others are both Christians and Traditionalists etc…

Yet, your narratives seems to pretend that such abominable act should be forgotten, forcefully extracted from our minds and swept under the carpet for those members of the NEC to stain the Royal Throne of OKPALARIAM III ENUGWU-AGIDI, the customs and traditions of ENUGWU-AGIDI and Ndi Enugwu-Agidi as a whole.

C. DISRESPECT TO IGWE ENUGWU-AGIDI TITLE (There are video evidence to back this):

The other reasons why it is difficult to assimilate your narratives, is that you claim you and your NEC are NOT disrespectful to IGWE ENUGWU-AGIDI but your PROBLEM GENERAL (PG) address other unknown character(s) as IGWE and EZE in the same Enugwu-Agidi. Yet, you claimed “NEC” has only one Igwe in Enugwu-Agidi.

Question 4:

How suiting is that narrative when visual evidence abounds from the PROBLEM GENERAL (PG) who is;

  1. Genealogically spiteful
  2. Historically cunning.
  3. Ethically unforgiving.
  4. Serially manipulative.
  5. Sociologically abusive.
  6. Psychologically Hungry of Power At All and At Every Cost.
  7. Illegally rejects the rule of law when it does not suite and accepts the rule of law ONLY when it suites.

D. ORGANISED CRIME, VIOLENT LAND BANDITRY and TERRORISM:

“TERRORIST is a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims” – online Dictionary.

Your narratives are hard to grasp when you are 100% aware of the long trajectory and the unequivocal records of illegal land grabbing, land sales, hiring of dangerous and violently armed thugs for TERRORISM, which were used numerously to attack Ndi Enugwu-Agidi (Visual and Pictorial Evidence Abounds)

Question 5:

Do you see another reason, why every right thinking person, whose judgments are not clouded by pecuniary gains, ignorance and emotional bias will find it very very difficult to understand and or accept your narratives?

IN CONCLUSION:

When the term terrorist is used in Enugwu-Agidi to describe the activities of intimidation, suppression, oppression and subjugation, it was rightfully used.

This is based on the above definition of terrorism and as an Organised Crime Consultant (OCC) and Counter Terrorism Consultant (CTC), if i have to shed more light into the practice of terrorism, I will even convince you much more that Terror, Terrorism and Terrorists abound and operate in Enugwu-Agidi with impunity based on the below categorization of TERRORISTS;

  1. FOOT SOLDIERS.
  2. INTELLIGENCE TEAM.
  3. MEDIA TEAM.
  4. LEADERS.
  5. FUNDERS.
  6. SPONSORS.
  7. FINANCIERS.
  8. SYMPATHIZERS.
  9. SILENT CELLS.

Be reminded, that money is not everything, especially ill-gotten money.

Keeping silent today will have its future effects.

Benefiting from illegal sales of lands of poor widows, peasant farmers and those who lack the capacity to defend their lands will lead to eternal bitterness.

Defending acts of organized crime and the use of fear and terrorism by terrorists is like feeding monsters today, which will swallow you tomorrow.

IN ALL THE ABOVE, TIME IS THEIR ENEMY.

Since there is a rise, there must be a fall…

Remember, those that have terrorized other communities?

In a very short season you will see them though it seems long, however in a twinkle of an eyelid, you will not see them no more… Evil Lasts For A Very Short TIME.

They will go the same way, others before them have gone!

Sooner or Later…..

SOONER OR LATER – A STITCH IN TIME (SAVES NINE)…

“WHY WE SHOULD SUPPORT UCHE EKWUNIFE’S JOURNEY BACK TO SENATE -BY- OZIOMA IZUORA”

Truthfully, it would be a crime not to!
I discovered Senator Dr. Uche Ekwunife, lately, through her performance in the House of Representatives, and later, in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I speak as a women rights advocate, who has canvassed for both gender parity and effective representation at the National Assembly. In our different groups, especially in FIDA, we are constantly carrying out advocacies to canvas for able women like Senator Ekwunife who has broken all the barriers and restrictions on the path to political power to continue in the good works of bringing government down to the grassroots.  Nigeria needs more, not less, of eminently qualified people like her. Anambra people must not lose ofu mkpuluakwu anyi runye n’okwu for any reason in the world.
Besides, the politics of 2023 transcends political parties – anya saa kwa Ndi Anambra!
The time for wholesale adoption of candidates of any political party is well behind us. IT SHOULD NOW BE ABOUT ABILITIES. CHOOSE THOSE WHO WILL PERFORM WELL NO MATTER WHAT PARTY THEY BELONG TO…
Senator Uche Ekwunife has shown ability. There are very few like her – women with capacity; tenacity; courage and presence of mind to embrace situations as they arise:

When Nigerian Security Agencies became a thorn in the sides of Ndi Anambra, by militarising the region, who courageously stood tall and cried out for them to cease and desist from trampling on the rights of the Ndi Anambra to freely move around and ply their trades? This is but an example of the many times she moved the Nigerian Government to immediate action.

Who has attracted some many Federal projects to Anambra State and followed up to make sure they are functional and thriving?

Who has gone into different parts of the Anambra Senatorial Districts to set up empowerment programs for the women – widows especially, and the youths? Her empowerment programs run into over 410 Million Naira.

Who has completed and handed over several units of tastefully built bungalows to widows across the Senatorial District?

Who has built schools, health centres and other infrastructures within wards and local governments in Anambra Central Senatorial District?

Who has tarred roads, repaired and maintained existing ones in the same area?

Who has put in boreholes to ease the problems with access to water in Anambra Central Senatorial District?

The answer to all the above is this same woman, Uche Ekwunife. These are but few references to show that she has constantly gone beyond the call of her office as a legislator, to reach out and be there for her people. Ugwo eziolu bu olu ozo! Send her to achieve more! I appeal especially to the women of Anambra Central to remember that one of our own can only rise if we shoulder her up. Let the joint power of the women’s votes, along with those of the men count on her side.
This plea, I make, not as a politician, but as a concerned woman, mother, and activist for democratic leadership.
I watch the political scene and dissect the same in the classrooms. I receive feedback from my involvement with NGO work for the good of the people. I can tell you for free that Senator Dr Uche Ekwunife is one of those we cite freely both nationally and internationally as one of highly performing legislators in Nigeria.
I am quite well-known as a past Vice Chair of Nigerian Bar Association and National Executive Council Representative for the Abuja Branch. I am better known as a past Vice Chair of International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA). I do not need to be asked to write my opinion on cogent political issues affecting Anambra. I want what is best for the State to which I have born two men and three women. I would like to see a more prosperous Anambra. I have remained consistent in my support for Senator Ekwunife both on and off the social media. Many of my colleagues who need favours from her call me simply because of my support for her. They have invariably returned to say that she gave them a hearing ear. Never was she not attentive when we have reached out to her as women groups both in her home and at events, that she did not bare her soul on the plight of women.
FELLOW WOMEN LET’S NOT FORGET OUR OWN AND LATER COMPLAIN THAT WOMEN ARE NOT BEING EFFECTIVELY REPRESENTED. NO ONE NEEDS TO BE REMINDING US OF THIS!
I plead also, for all PEOPLE of Anambra Central District who have PVCs to use them wisely in retaining for us the one firebrand we have in the Nigerian Senate currently. Let no one deceive you! Do this as a duty for posterity!

Death of HRM Queen Elizabeth ll, Comments of Prof. Uju Anya and Ascension of HRM King Charles lll.

By: OC Vince

Faithfully, i served the Queen Elizabeth Regina ll and the country and she honoured me with an Award of Excellence for my service.
On one hand, she was loved by millions of English nationals and across the World over.
One the other, she was NOT loved by millions of English nationals.
In my frontline experiences, I have witnessed protests against her reign, at a location next to London Bridge.

I commiserate with her immediate family, the nation and the commonwealth on her passing. She was a Queen to the world and she was our Queen.
She is not perfect as most human beings are not and her mistakes and or alledged mistakes can be corrected by HRM King Charles lll.

There is an opportunity to share in the experiences of those that suffered in any way, shape or form from her mistakes or alleged mistakes while on the Throne.

There are many claimed mistakes and alleged mistakes that need to be verified and confirmed for reparations to commence.
These issues have now become a global topic and eye opener to World Leaders.

We cannot hush or forcefully shut down anyone, persons, ethnicities or educate them on how to shade their tears of bitterness, show their pains because they know their history, their pains, their deaths and their feelings.

Though, we can state our feelings of her alleged mistakes in ways that would not seem that we are mocking the dead or wishing them bad as God Almighty is compassionate to us all. Such will resonate wrongly on the minds and thoughts of his family, loyalists, subjects and to the realm.

Professor Uju Anya, is a wordsmith, a person of letters who speaks diverse global languages. One creative challenge about such calibre of linguistic experts is that when they write, they compress so many world languages and meanings together to express their feelings, emotions and thoughts in their art of communication. Those that speak only one world language, could easily misrepresent, misinterprete and misunderstand the literary points such linguistic professionals are making, forming, creating and communicating.

Queen Elizabeth Regina ll, ran her race very well and lived her life fully in life, while Prof Uju Anya, has launched herself into life for the living to live.

The English legendary authour Sir. William Shakepare, once stated and inspired that none should be afraid of Greatness; because some were born Great, while some achieved Greatness on their own, though some had Greatness entrusted upon them. In the light of the above, where do you picture and or place this discuss, the key players, the audience and you?

One thing Queen Elizabeth ll, preached during her last appearance at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), was the need for world to come together to identify, to share and to solve world challenges. Those this discuss fall within the above context? Yes, in my opinion, though you have your own opinion.
We need not wish away the feelings, emotions, cries and deaths of anyone and everyone who lost loved ones to massacres across the world due to the actions and inactions of world leaders. The ongoing Russia/Ukrine crisis is staring us on our faces. When would world leaders, realms and nations; holistically intervene to quickly reduce, avoid and Stop the ongoing human suffering? Tomorrow survivors might make stinging statements and ask tough questions on where were world leaders, realms and nations while they were suffering and dieing?

It was an Igbo, Nigerian and African author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who once wrote, “While we died, the world looked on”. Was the above statement similar to what Prof Uju Anya is stating, though both used different words and styles all directed in the same direction?

This subject matter has now created a golden opportunity for healing to commence, especially with the words of King Charles lll on 9th September 2022, “I will serve you with Loyalty, Respect and Love”. In my opinion, the “You” could be the World, the Commonwealth of nations and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

There is hope for corrections to be made, atonement to be implemented, for such human catastrophe never to be allowed to repeat itself and for wordsmiths to be cautious on their use of words, which could positively and or negatively influence people across the world.

Bearing in mind that speech is silver, while silence is gold. The reason many choose to keep mute and silent on this mattee, while many choose to speak and be heard is a matter of choice and how the allegations directly or indirectly affected ones life, family, community, ethnicity, traditions, race and generation. Afterall, you will die if you speak and you will die if you do not speak. So what difference does it really make? The choice to speak or to be silent on your stance on this matter is literally yours to make.

King Charles lll, promised to serve with Loyalty, Respect and Love on his 1st speech on Friday, 9th September 2022. He was sworn into the Royal Throne on Saturday, 10th September 2022 by the The Ascension Commission as HRM KING CHARLES III. I pray for his long and peaceful and great reign to identify, share, solve and resolve such highly sensitive matters. Amen

Thank you
