Many Nigerians would appreciate where you are heading, however, many more Nigerians know for a fact that the direction you are heading smacks of extraordinary-hypocrisy coming from your lips and your writing pen.

It was the same you, dear Mr. Reuben Abati, who served as Chief Spokesperson and Chief Defender of an administration that ruled the entire Nigeria and maximally controlled the entire commonwealth of millions of Nigerians for six (6) solid whole years.

However, it is a young Nigerian, whose parents never walked, touched, smelt public office. Obi_Cubana never handled Nigerian commonwealth. A young man of about 46 years struggling to “Put Smiles on Faces” in the world capital of poverty, a very difficult living-terrain you and your ruling likes left Nigeria in. It is this young Nigerian and his likes who creatively create employment, who dared to carve out a little heaven in the furnace of fire 🔥 you and your likes transformed and created out of once a buzzing Nigeria socio-cultural DNA. It is now Obi_Cubana that you point your writing pen and use your media lips to abuse on public media platforms of those who “ruled-and-ruined” Nigerians as an example of a Nigeria swimming against the currents in troubled waters.

Dr. Reuben Abati, do you wish to educate Ndi Oba and Ndi Anambra State on how to go about the burial and or celebration of life, love and legacy of their sister, daughter, auntie, mother and grandmother all in the name of civility…? Are the traditions of Oba people the same as your traditions? Are the monies in spent your money? Must Oba people conform to your understanding and comparison of civility? Is the burial your burial?

Decency should have taught you to allow those mourning their mother, to mourn and celebrate her life, her love and her legacy as they choose best. Did they bother to come to you to give them grant or loan or to even request you to hype the burial ceremony on @Arise TV, the television platform you service? Maybe Obi_Cubana did not spend money on you to hype the burial ceremony and that is part of the reason you are bothered, jealous, calling him negative names and complaining because none of the monies got into your pockets?

Many schools of thoughts, in Nigeria and outside the shores of Nigeria will laugh at your failed attempt, not only to negatively poison or profile the CUBANA BRAND but also your failed attempt to target where OBI CUBANA is from and those millions of Nigerians working hard and smart to build integrity from grass to grace, to build dignified business empires from zero to hero and to give capacity to millions of Nigerians ready to build from scratch to success.

Dear Mr. Reuben Abati, do you actually think that Nigeria and Nigerians are better off with commonwealth-robbers compared with money-sprayers, who made their clean money without a single help from past and or present governments who you spoke for and still speak for?

In the rare situation, that Nigerians choose put Reuben Abati and Obi_Cubana side by side and ask objective Nigerians who between both of you is the perpetrator of injustice, suspicion and who the real victim is; who do you think majority of Nigerians would choose as perpetrator of injustice through your spokesmanship and media platforms? Who really is Nigerian’s problem(s) between the corrupt politician(s)/ corrupt public officer(s) whom you represent on one hand and smart working entertainers/money sprayers on the other hand?

It is Dr. Reuben Abati and his likes, who formed a Nigeria that has in turn transformed most Nigerians into victims of poverty in the world’s new capital of poverty. Obi_Cubana is just one of those victims, swimming against the currents to make the best of your mess.

In conclusion Dr. Abati, the collapse of ethical, moral and developmental values in Nigeria was and is led by Nigeria’s past and present commonwealth robbers, thieving corrupt politicians, Television media houses who speak from the two sides of their mouth and questionable public officers whether elected or appointed. Not by entertainers and entrepreneurs like Obi Cubana, whom the government you served or serving could not provide basic amenities like drinking water and electricity, which led them to buy power generator sets for electric supplies and construct their own bore hole systems for portable drinking water, just to mention a few…

Chief Obi Iyiegbu a.k.a Obi_Cubana has about nine (9) hotels, and clubs and employs over 3,400 (three thousand four hundred) people who have families they pay their bills for health, education, food, clothes, safety etc. Obi_Cubana celebrated his dear mother, while she was alive, who nursed and groomed him to work hard, work smart, work with integrity and work to develop others positively. Obi_Cubana celebrated his dear mother’s life, love and legacy while she was alive and when she passed on. Obi_Cubana built his business empire on integrity and his honesty developed young men who put their hands together to support him lavishly when his dear mother passed-on.

Dear Dr. Reuben Abati, how many young Nigerians have you empowered to the point they can spend millions lavishly to support you in times of need?

Do Nigerians need more Dr. Reuben Abati to work for thise in the corridors of power or do Nigerians need more Obi_Cubana who can develop more Nigerians (Cubanas) to create employment and wealth for more Nigerians?

Personally, I believe most would prefer the development of Nigerians (Cubanas) and Not more people who will steal our commonwealth and or speak from the two sides of their mouth just for relevance…

Aare Ona Kankanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams says the attempt by the Federal Government to criminalise the case of Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popular known as Sunday Igboho, is undemocratic and may lead to war.

The monarch said this in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Aderemi, in reaction to the arrest of Mr. Igboho in Cotonou, Benin Repulic.

He stated that by clamping down on agitators, the government is making itself an enemy of the people.

Gani Adams urged the federal government to be fair in handling Igboho’s case because maltreatment may lead to war.

He said, “I think the FG should be fair to the young man because any attempt to trivialize issues of agitations might set this nation on fire.

“For example, the issue of self determination didn’t come up overnight. It was as a result of the long years of injustice, nepotism, and corruption occasioned by bad leadership.

“So, the FG will be making a big mistake if it decides to treat agitators of Yoruba nation as common criminals or enemies.

“Igboho has a right to his freedom. There is nothing bad for him to seek assylum in Republic of Benin, and he is entitled to seek refuge in a foreign land if he thinks his safety cannot be guaranteed here in Nigeria.”

The International Criminal Police Organisation had arrested Igboho and his wife Ropo at the Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou, Benin Republic on Monday night, as the couple were about to escape to Germany.

Yoruba Freedom Fighter, Chief Sunday Igboho regains freedom after arrest in Benin Republic, departs by air for Germany.

The Yoruba Nation Global Directorate has expressed its appreciation to the government and people of Benin Republic for their intervention in the release of the human rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igbohoo.

In a press statement released Tuesday afternoon, signed by its Director, Princess Adeola Atayero Olamijulo, YNGD expressed gratitude to all those whose prayers, phone calls and participation in the release of the activist.

She thanked all the Beninese lawyers in Cotonou who promptly stepped into the legal matter for their support.

“Chief Sunday Adeyemo is now on his way to his destination”, the statement added.

BREAKING NEWS: Nigeria’s Attorney General of The Federation and Minister Of Justice, Malami Hospitalized After Fainting At Sokoto State.

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami was hospitalized after he collapsed in Sokoto state, northern Nigeria on Monday.

The Nigerian Minister of Justice was recently in Sokoto for the inauguration of the reconstructed State High Court complex by Governor Aminu Tambuwal.

Reports gathered that the Minister of Justice collapsed after delivering his address at the ceremony and was quickly revived by his aides and dignitaries who helped him to stand.

Attorney-General Malami, was subsequently hospitalised at a private facility upon his return to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, the report said.

The Minister of Justice, however, attended the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday but was returned to the hospital a few hours later, a source said.

The AGF and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), on Monday, slumped before being revived during an official assignment in Sokoto.

He was immediately surrounded by anxious aides and dignitaries who raised him up from the ground after successfully reviving him.

AGF Malami, who recently returned from an official visit to Turkey was in Sokoto for the inauguration of the reconstructed State High Court complex.

We learnt that the Justice Minister, whom witnesses said looked exhausted after his speech, collapsed and was revived.

A closed source to the AGF who confirmed the incident said he was currently at a hospital in Abuja after he was transported sick from Sokoto.

Malami, along with the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Tanko, was in Sokoto on Monday to commission the reconstructed State High Court complex.

Derek Chauvin trial: Was Such Use of Force on George Floyd justified?

The key arguments used by Derek Chauvin’s defence in a court of law trial for the death of Late George Floyd.

United States of America USA citizen George Floyd died under the knees of a USA Police Officer Derek Chauvin in 2020, leading to serious protests and riots across some major cities of the world.

Undoctored Video of Mr Chauvin, who is a white man, kneeling on the neck of Mr Floyd, who was a black man, led to worldwide protests against racism and policing in the USA.

A use-of-force expert told a US jury that the former police officer Derek Chauvin, accused of the murder of George Floyd was “justified” in pinning him to the ground.
Barry Brodd, told the trial in Minnesota that Derek Chauvin acted with “objective reasonableness”.
Mr Chauvin is on trial after he knelt on Mr Floyd’s neck during his arrest last May, which lead to George Floyd’s, death due to positional asphyxia.

Mr Derek Chauvin has denied the charges.

Revently, tensions in Minnesota USA, are also running high after the fatal shooting on Sunday 11th April 2021 of a another black man by a white police officer in a suburb only 10 miles (16 km) away from the court where Mr Chauvin’s trial is taking place.
On Tuesday, the court heard testimony from witnesses called by Mr Chauvin’s defence team.

What did the expert say?
Former police officer Mr Brodd told the court that “the imminent threat” posed by Floyd was a major factor in his detention.
“I felt that Derek Chauvin was justified and acting with objective reasonableness following Minneapolis police department policy and current standards of law enforcement in his interaction with George Floyd,” he said.

“From a police officer’s standpoint, you don’t have to wait for it to happen. You just need to have a reasonable fear that somebody is going to:
A. strike you.
B. stab you.
C. shoot you.

Mr Brodd added: “It’s easy to sit in an office and judge an officer’s conduct. It’s more of a challenge to put yourself in the officer’s shoes:
A. to try to make an evaluation through what they are feeling.
B. what they’re sensing.
C. the fear they have.
D. and then make a determination.

Defence lawyer Eric Nelson asked Mr Brodd: “Was this a deadly use of force?”
“No, it was not,” Mr Brodd replied.

He said that the crowd surrounding George Floyd, during his arrest “posed an unknown threat” and drew Mr Chauvin’s attention away from Floyd.
Cross-examining Mr Brodd, the prosecution maintained that the dangers of positional asphyxia – not being able to breathe in a certain position – were well known.
“Would you agree that that’s something commonly understood in law enforcement?” prosecutor Steve Schleicher asked.

“Yes,” Mr Brodd replied, confirming it was not new information.

What else happened?
The trial also heard from Peter Chang, a Minneapolis Park Police officer who responded to the scene of Floyd’s arrest. The court was shown footage from his bodycam – a video camera worn on the bodies of all Minneapolis Police Officers and it’s recordings are protected and cannot be edited or tampered by the Police Officer except the appropriate Body Camera Police Department.
Mr Chang told the court the crowd of bystanders around Floyd was “very aggressive to the Police Officers”.
“Did that cause you any concern?” Mr Nelson asked him.

She was sitting in the back seat of the car when Floyd was approached by store employees who confronted him over an alleged counterfeit $20 bill.
She said Floyd had earlier been “happy, normal, talking, alert”.
She said that he had offered to give her a ride, and that she received a phone call while sitting in the car with Floyd.
While she was on the phone, she said Floyd suddenly fell asleep just before the employees came out to confront him.
She said she woke him again as the police arrived.

She said that as soon as Floyd woke up, the first thing she saw was an officer’s gun. Ms Hill said that he immediately grew distressed and started pleading with the officers not to kill him.
“Did he seem startled when the officer pulled a gun on him?” the prosecutor asks.

Recall, he was kidnapped following the violent attacks at Isuofia Civic Center that led to the murder of three (3) Police Officers by criminals.

The Police Command had arrested five suspects in connection with the incident and remains committed in apprehending the remaining gang members.

Meanwhile, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police CP Monday Bala Kuryas, called for calm and reiterates the Command’s commitment towards ensuring safety and security of Ndi Anambra and residents both in the short term, medium term and in the long term.

A Non Governmental Organization (NGO) the Centre For Sustainable Peace and Development has declared that allegations that the Zamfara State Governor Rt Hon Bello Mattawalle was using an aircraft to take out gold and bring in arms and ammunitions for bandits is a hoax and lie from the pit of hell.

This is the group accused the National Security Adviser (NSA) Maj Gen Babagana Mungonu (Rtd) of orchestrating the fake news all in the bid to intimidate and frustrate the peace efforts of the Mattawalle administration.

The group also faulted the allegation by the NSA that the Federal Government had uncovered plots by some individuals to sabotage the implementation of the presidential directive banning gold exploration and the no fly zone order in Zamfara state, noting that the State has no airport or airstrip.

The Executive Director Dr. Bello Usman Abdul Ganiyu in a statement on Thursday in Abuja stated that there is no such plot as the National Security Adviser (NSA) is constantly raising alarm where there is none all in the bid to cover his shady deals and create an impression of tension in Zamfara State. How can there be a plot to sabotage the no fly zone, when Zamfara State does not have an airport or airstrip?

According to him “our attention has drawn to a very misleading and malicious information being peddled on the internet to the effect that the Executive Governor Of Zamfara State Rt. Hon Bello Mattawalle has been using an aircraft to transport gold out of Zamafara State in exchange for arms and ammunition for Bandits.

“This malicious and wicked allegations is being sponsored by the National Security Adviser (NSA) Maj Gen Babagana Monguno to blackmail and intimidate the Governor Of Zamfara State for his selfish agenda.Ordinarily we would not have responded to this unfounded allegations but for the fact that if the facts are not presented it would look as the truth” Abdul Ganiyu added.

The Executive Director pointed out that “It is important to note that the NSA Maj Gen Mongonu and his cronies owns many mining sites in many states of the Federation with Exploration License number EL28121 & EL 27820 and many others. They use so many companies as conduit pipes in these nefarious illegal mining activities. Some of the companies are Atlas Fields Integrated NIGERIA LTD,

“With this vast network Of companies dealing in illegal mining across the Country Monguno in the bid to extend his tentacles to Zamfara State sent his cronies to Governor Mattawalle to allow his companies to begin to engage in their illegal mining activities in Zamfara State.

He alleged that “it was the refusal of the Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mattawalle to allow this illegal activity in the State that irked Monguno and his cronies as the Governor had insisted that he must get his approval from the President or the Federal Ministry Of Mines and Solid Minerals Development. With the refusal of the Governor to accede to his demands the National Security Adviser (NSA) declared a total war on Zamfara State and Governor Mattawalle for his selfish and evil desires.

“After my conversation with Chisom media and the findings by an investigative journalist it was found out that the five companies which are linked to the National Security Adviser (NSA) and are under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Our investigation also showed that the Governor Of Nasarawa State Engr. Abdulahi Suleiman and the NSA are into massive illegal mining in Nasarawa State.

Abdul Ganiyu states that “Inspire of the fact that there is a higher degree of armed robbery, kidnapping, armed banditry and cultism which has been going on for several years and yet No Fly Zone was declared in Nasarawa State. And the Nasarawa State Governor Suleiman Abdulahi shamelessly said that the declaration of No Fly Zone in Zamfara State and the banning of mining activities in Zamfara State is long over, due because of closeness to the NSA he is Joining him to blackmail and pull down the Governor Of Zamfara State Bello Mattawalle.

“If the Federal Government is serious about tackling insecurity and banning illegal mining in the country Nasarawa State should be declared a No Fly Zone and all mining activities in the state stopped forthwith. The members of the public are demanding that the EFCC in line with the Freedom Of Information Bill (FIB) show Nigerians the report of their investigations on the five companies linked to the NSA and his cronies which he is using as a conduit pipe to siphon the proceeds of illegal mining.

He further said “We call on the Directorate Of State Security Services (DSS) the EFCC and Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Commission (ICPC) to conduct a discreet investigation and search on the ownership of the said five companies.

The said aircraft allegedly being used to take out gold from Zamfara State and being in arms is actually malicious mischievous, diversionary try to cover up the involvement of the National Security Adviser Gen (rtd) Monguno in massive illegal mining activities across the Country.
